The Northern Kingdoms
North of the Yaruga river lie the Northern Kingdoms: Redania, Temeria, Kaedwen, Aedirn, Kovir and Poviss, Lyria and Rivia, and a handful of smaller realms such as Cintra, Brugge, Verden and Sodden. The Pontar river runs east to west through the middle, past Flotsam and Oxenfurt to the free city of Novigrad on the coast.
The Blue Mountains close the North off to the east. Kaer Morhen, the keep of the witchers of the School of the Wolf, sits in the mountains of Kaedwen, while the elves keep their last realm in Dol Blathanna, the Valley of Flowers.
Nilfgaard and the south
South of the Yaruga stretches the Nilfgaardian Empire, a vast state of provinces such as Ebbing, Metinna and Gemmera, ruled from the City of Nilfgaard far to the south. Its armies cross the Yaruga again and again in the saga.
Toussaint, the duchy of Blood and Wine, is one of the empire’s vassals. Off the western coast, the Skellige Isles answer to no emperor and are ruled by their own clans.

No. It is an original fan illustration based on the books and the games. Distances and coastlines are approximate.
Where is Rivia on the map?
Rivia lies in the kingdom of Lyria and Rivia, east of Mahakam and south of Aedirn, on Lake Loc Eskalott.
Where is Novigrad?
Novigrad is a free city on the west coast at the mouth of the Pontar, between Redania to the north and Temeria to the south.
Where is Toussaint?
Toussaint is a duchy south of the Yaruga, inside the borders of the Nilfgaardian Empire, below the Amell mountains.
